Standard Granite includes the most common colors. Even though granite slabs may be classified as the same color, there might be a variance in tint, and certain colors are more prevalent in one slab over the other, even though, technically, they are of the same color. 

Quartz slabs are manufactured using upwards of ninety-three percent quartzite. The remainder is typically other natural stones, minerals and a resin which allows the compound to hold its shape. Quartz is just as beautiful as its quartzite counterpart, but is sometimes regarded as easier to maintain. The same resin that is used to bind the minerals together is what makes quartz slab non-porous.  It’s a more forgiving surface for those with small children or pets.

Marble is a natural stone characterized typically by its soft veining. Although it comes in a variety of colors and patterns, most commonly marbles are shades of grey and white with veins rather than speckles. Marble is much softer than quartzite so as a result will show wear over time. Marble is very porous and therefore can easily stain. Just li and granite countertop sealers can be applied slow this absorption down. 

Exotic Granite is due to the rarity of its appearance and the source. Our stone generally is imported from  Brazil. It can have uncommon colors, veins and patterns and a noticeable amount of hard or soft minerals. 

Quartzite is formed when sandstone is subjected to massive amounts of heat and pressure. It’s mined in quarries around the world and cut into slabs that are ideally suited to home use as countertops, flooring and other surfacing needs. Quartz is harder than granite, which makes it an ideal surface for high traffic areas, but it is typically porous in nature. To keep quartzite looking its very best, it’s wise to seal the stone as required.
